Apple recently inaugurated its fourth Apple Developer Academy in Indonesia, located in Tuban, southern Bali. The new institution aims to train developers, students and entrepreneurs in the skills essential for success in the fast-growing iOS application industry, both nationally and internationally.
An intensive program focused on innovation
The nine-month program covers the fundamentals of coding, design and marketing, while offering an in-depth introduction to artificial intelligence. Students are encouraged to develop innovative applications that address local and global challenges, with a positive impact on society. The pedagogical approach is based on collaborative learning and experimentation, with the support of mentors and industry experts.
Since the creation of Indonesia’s first Apple Developer Academy in 2018 in Jakarta, followed by those in Surabaya and Batam, more than 2,500 participants have been trained. According to Apple, 90% of graduates have found employment in various sectors, such as education, e-commerce, transportation and sustainable development.
An academy with an international reach
The first class of the Bali academy is made up of over 100 students aged 18 to 56, from 32 Indonesian cities. For the first time, Apple is also opening its doors to international students from 11 different countries, making Bali a true global technology hub.
Bali, known as a popular destination for digital workers and foreign entrepreneurs, offers an ideal setting for attracting talent and fostering the exchange of skills. The expansion of the Apple Developer Academy in Bali reflects Apple’s desire to establish a long-term presence in Indonesia, a fast-growing market in the digital sector.
By focusing on the training of developers and the creation of a dynamic technological ecosystem, Apple intends to consolidate its role in the country’s digital transformation and strengthen its influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
